Privacy Policy

Effective 20 April 2026

Overview

Briar & Bone Conservatory is a static, read-only site. We do not operate user accounts, comment systems, or any interactive features that require you to submit personal information to us directly. This policy explains what limited data may be collected through the operation of this Site and how it is handled.

Data We Collect

We do not collect personal data directly. We do not use contact forms, email sign-ups, or registration systems.

If the Site uses analytics software (such as a privacy-respecting, cookie-free tool), aggregate, anonymised data may be collected about pages visited and general traffic patterns. This data does not identify you personally and is used solely to understand how the Site is used in aggregate.

Standard server logs may record IP addresses, browser type, and referring URLs as part of normal web infrastructure operation. These logs are retained for a limited period for security and diagnostic purposes only.

Cookies

This Site does not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. If any functional cookies are used (for example, to remember a UI preference), they do not contain personally identifiable information and are not shared with third parties.

Third-Party Services

The Site may be hosted on third-party infrastructure (such as a cloud hosting provider). That provider's own privacy policy governs their data handling practices. We choose providers with strong privacy commitments.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer any data to third parties for marketing purposes.

Your Rights

As we do not collect personal data in identifiable form, there is generally nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have a concern about data that may have been collected in connection with your use of this Site, you are welcome to contact us and we will respond promptly.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have rights under GDPR and UK GDPR respectively, including the right to access, rectify, erase, or object to the processing of your personal data.

Children

This Site is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. The content on this Site — including descriptions of toxic plants and historical poisonings — is intended for adult readers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be indicated by an updated effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
